Pasadena Jazz Institute presents:
Young and talented flamenco guitarist Vahagn Turgutyan with his band
Twenty three years old guitarist Vahagn Turgutyan has received numerous certificates and highest honors from Spain. Among those honors he mostly cherishes one from the National University of Malaga, "Curso Superior de Guitarra Flamenca" conducted by Flamenco Legend Manolo Sanlucar. This is Turgutyans first performance after releasing his CD titled Short Stories.
The repertoire consists of original compositions based on various Flamenco forms with fusion of Armenian folk melodies and nuances.
