Jeff Wall's outstanding photographic practice has helped establish photography as the most significant art form of our time. His carefully composed images explore intense social struggle, history and memory, while maintaining a constant dialogue with the history of art and contemporary life. Wall's work has been exhibited at major galleries and exhibitions worldwide, including the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, The Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, Documenta Xl and Bienal di São Paulo. Recent major solo exhibitions have appeared at Schaulager, Basel, Marian Goodman Gallery, New York and the Tate Modern in London.
