Ussachevsky Memorial Electronic Music Festival - continues February 5, 2011

Saturday of the festival opns with a 4 p.m. Lecture/Demo with special guest Karlheinz Essl. Essl writes instrumental music and composes electronic music, in addtion to performing on his own electronic instrument m@ze°2. He also develops software environments for computer-aided composition and creates generative sound and video environments – often in collaboration with artists from other fields.

Saturday's 8 p.m. concert features performers Roger Lebow, cello; Genevieve Feiwen Lee, piano; Mojave Trio (Sara Parkins, violin; Margaret Parkins, cello; Genevieve Feiwen Lee, piano); Joti Rockwell, electric guitar and Tony Perman, mbira playing music by Karlheinz Essl, Tom Flaherty, Matthew Malsky, Frank Zappa and more.
