Using the SQR as an Authentic Catalyst for School-Wide Improvement October 13, 2010

In this think tank, facilitated by Marina and District Two Community Superintendent Daria Rigney, participants will use the SQR rubric and other recent publications about school change as mentor texts. At each session, we will take a deep dive into one of the five Quality Statements, and using evidence gathered from our own schools, engage with the following questions:

• What specific practices would constitute proficient and well-developed work for this Quality Statement?
• Do we believe that these practices are truly reflective of a school's quality?
• What score on this Quality Statement would be supported by the evidence that each of us has brought to the table?
• What next steps would we need to take to move our school forward on this Quality Statement?
