US Olympic Softball vs. Washington Glory: Bound for Beijing Tour Stops in Bowie May 10, 2008

The world-class athletes of the U.S. Olympic Womens Softball team are coming to Prince Georges Stadium, the home of the Bowie Baysox, for an exhibition match-up against the National Pro Fastpitch league champion Washington Glory on May 10, 2008 at 4:00 pm.

Superstars Jennie Finch, Cat Osterman, Jessica Mendoza lead Team USA as they tour the country to tune-up for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

The game in Bowie will feature a matchup of two top softball powers. The Womens National team took home Olympic gold in 1996, 2000 and 2004, won the World Cup of Softball in 2007 and 2006, and conquered the ISF Womens World Championship eight of the past nine tournaments, dating back to 1974. Top competitors in their own right, the Glory are the reigning National Pro Fastpitch Champions.
