Making his Lively Arts debut with a Mahler Remixed program, Uri Caine is a classically trained jazz pianist and composer who recontextualizes musical genres and introduces improvisation where it is not ordinarily found. Playing repertoire based on his recording Urlicht/Primal Light, Caine reinterprets Mahler’s songs and symphonic works on solo piano.
