Founded by Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Urban Bush Women produces works that bear witness to the transformation of struggle and suffering into the bittersweet joy of survival. The ensemble wakes up audiences with its physicality and furious energy. This Senegalese company presents the result of a two year collaboration between its choreographer and creative director Germaine Acogony and Japanese choreographer Kota Yamazaki.
