Want to know what the future of British film-making looks like? Yeah, so do we. Upshot is a specially selected programme of shorts created by some of London's most promising new filmmakers, and chosen through an open submission. We will be welcoming films under 15 minutes, of any genre and on any subject - just put your best celluloid foot forward. On Thu 17 July we then invite short film fans and filmmakers alike to watch, enjoy, then discuss, as each evening closes with conversation from a panel of industry experts, followed by networking opportunities over a drink. Our panel will be looking at the crass and crucial subject of money and the short film - how to get it and how to make it - and will include Simon Young of Shorts International, and Katie Metcalfe, Head of Acquisitions at Future Shorts. Our deadline for submissions is Tue 24 Jun - download the submissions form (PDF, 12kb).
