After it’s debut in Los Angeles last January, Pinocchio Storia di un Burattino will be perfomed at the University of St. Thomas’ Jones Hall, Thursday March 21 at 7pm, presented by the Consul General of Italy and Mrs. Fabrizio Nava, Cathy and Giorgio Borlenghi - owners of the Hotel Granduca, the University of St. Thomas and the Italian Cultural & Community Center.
Pinocchio is directed and performed by Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, who made his debut as an actor in theater, but has grown into the roles of playwright and director. Flory’s work fuses art, music, theater, philosophy and literature, to create a distinctive voice for his characters. Flory is accompanied by dancers Michela Lucenti and Emanuela Serra, with music by Nino Rota and Fiorenzo Carpi, performed on the piano by Gianluca Pezzino. Watch Mister Geppetto, the talking cricket, the fire-eater and the fairy with tourquoise hair come to life!
The show is intended for an adult audience only and will be in Italian with English surtitles.
This event is free admission, it will be held in the University of St Thomas Jones Hall. For further information on any of the Italian Cultural & Community Center’s multiple programs and offerings, please contact Tiziana Triolo, Director, and Program Development at 713-524-4222 extension 7.
