University of Richmond Free Music Concert Series: TimbaSon October 13, 2010

Guest artist TimbaSon takes its name from son, the most influential form of Cuban music in the late 1800s, and timba, the Cuban version of America's R&B, soul, and funk. TimbaSon is like salsa on steroids! The 10-piece ensemble will be joined by dancers from the Latin Ballet of Virginia and will feature Jose Lorenzo on vocals and UR faculty member Mike Davison on trumpet. The concert is guaranteed to set Camp Concert Hall en fuego (on fire)!

Tickets for this free event will be available beginning Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010.
