‘University City Dining Days’ Returns this Summer!
New Popular University City Eateries join this Eight-Night Dining Celebration
(Philadelphia) – Twenty-six of University City’s most popular eateries are gearing up for the third ‘University City Dining Days.’ Following the continued success with the January promotion, University City restaurants will once again be offering a unique dining extravaganza from Thursday, July 20 – Thursday, July 27, 2006. Many new restaurants have been added to the dynamic roster, many of which will be offering a special “2-for” bargain deal.

The participating restaurants will again offer a pre-fixe three-course dinner special for either $20, $25, or $30, excluding tax, alcohol and gratuity. The “3 courses, 3 prices” concept was put forth in recognition of University City’s diverse options and “left of center” reputation. Prices are for dinner only and reservations are recommended and should be made directly through the participating restaurant. University City District (UCD) in partnership with a committee made up of University City restaurateurs, local business owners and publicists have organized the event.

Twice a year, the promotion yields thousands of excited diners to University City, selling out reservations at many of the participating restaurants. “The January 2006 Dining Days was even better than the first. Records at Rx were smashed for all previous same-month sales figures for a 400% increase in revenue on weekends and 40% on weekdays. We had our busiest Thursday ever,” added Greg Salisbury, owner of Rx.

To compliment this promotion, $5 parking (with validation from participating restaurants) is being offered by the parking garage at 38th and Walnut streets and the garage at 40th and Walnut streets. This convenience discount will be valid between 5pm – midnight each evening of the promotion. Participating restaurants include:
