The United Nations is one of the key institutions that regulate international politics. This course investigates decision making and political struggles for power inside and outside the institution. It also explores what it takes to be a nation. How are states and nations born? How do they die? Why are some countries richer than others? Participants will learn about the concepts necessary for understanding international politics, and also gain significant insight into the inner workings of the United Nations.
