Reiki is a Japanese “laying on hands” technique for stress reduction and relaxation, which assists in promoting healing and preventing disease.
Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has said that preventing illness and disease is an essential component of health reform.
“Practitioners of Reiki learn to apply healing energy to themselves and then graduate to working on treating others. The Reiki Training Program is the only Washington State Certified Vocational School that provides a consistent and thorough foundation in teaching Reiki to each student pursuing practitioner or teacher training.
Students volunteer at a monthly Reiki clinic to hone their skills as practitioners and provide a sliding scale prevention service to the community. ”-Eileen Dey, M.A., Director of RTP.
