Manufacturing is traditionally a misunderstood sector of the economy. Modern manufacturing covers a broad section of the twenty-first century economy, encompassing the entire supply of production, warehousing, distribution and total lifecycle product ownership. The terminology used in modern manufacturing has become pervasive enough that a broad section of the workforce is expected to know about terms, phrases and methodologies. In this MBA-in-a-day course the topics of lean, six sigma, value stream (mapping), MRP, MRPII, and Just in time will be covered in a simple, clear and straight forward manner with real life examples based on participants in the class. The seminar is aimed at bridging the knowledge gap between engineers and non-engineers in modern manufacturing companies. Details of this event may be subject to change.
