To have a basic understanding of physics is to begin to understand the workings of the universe. Over the centuries, studies of motion, time, space, and particles have led to incredible technological advancements that we enjoy – and take for granted – today. Join Rice professor Dr. Paul Padley as he explores the fascinating discoveries of Galileo, Newton, Einstein, and others whose achievements revolutionized our understanding of the physical world. Dr. Padley will demonstrate many concepts with lively in-class experiments and explain their effects on our lives.
