You just purchased a digital SLR, read the instructions, and are still a bit confused. What does this all mean?
This three-night class will introduce you to the basics of the DSLR camera and digital photography. You will learn about camera controls, ISO settings, file resolution, white balance, lens factor, color space, and workflow.
The characteristics of light will be discussed as will the concepts of exposure and the zone system.
You will learn the compositional tools of line, pattern, color, and texture, and how these design elements combine to help make a good photograph.
Assignments will be given and your work will be discussed and critiqued by the other participants.
Bring your digital SLR. Bring your questions. Leave with answers.
