An experential camp on 'Understanding and Building Your Interpersonal Relationships is being conducted in Bangalore by the the counselling services and counselling courses institution, Banjara Academy, based in Bangalore, and led by Dr Ali Khwaja. The camp will help participants lay the foundation for positive relationships and a better quality of life.
Open to all, the camp will be held at Banjara Academy's Manthan retreat (opposite DPS, Yelahanka, Bangalore) from Friday, 4th February to Sunday, 6th February, 2011. Since enrollment is on a first-pay-first served basis, prospective participants need to reserve their seats in advance. The charges are Rs. 1,500; however, Diploma in Counselling Skills (DCS) alumni, students and Helping Hand volunteers get a Rs 100 discount. Children below 12 years need to pay only Rs. 800.
Among other aspects, the camp will deal with:
The critical role relationships play in a personal happiness and quality of life
How people look to fulfill their own needs through relationships
The dynamic nature of relationships and the need to nurture them
Expectations from relationships and how they affect interaction
The need to understand oneself before one begins to understand others
The camp forms a part of Banjara Academy’s efforts to reach out to more people to improve quality of life and help in personal growth, provide emotional support and promote mental well-being.
