Chris Carter (TCR/Botchit & Scarper/Rec. Records) - London, UK
Chris is a widely respected DJ and Producer who is currently making serious waves with his current studio collaboration ?Roxiller? with JHz. Roxiller have recently contributed music for the new Sony PSP game 'Wipeout' & there is a significant buzz surrounding their current tune ?Archangel/Big Chat Version?. With a stack of positive press & more superb releases in the pipeline, it?s clear these guys are gaining some powerful momentum.
Over the years Chris Carter has had a steady stream of releases on a number of based breaks labels. Jointly responsible (with BLIM) for one of the break scene?s biggest vocal tracks (as Kasha on ?U?, featuring Shara Nelson) he has since had releases on TCR, Botchit + Scarper, Forged, En:Vision, Secret Agent, Track, and his own co-run Record Records amongst others earning him a reputation as a master of well-crafted dancefloor tunes. He has also done extensive remix work for labels such as Botchit, Passenger and Forged.
Kid Kenobi (Ministry of Sound) - Australia
He?s Australia?s favourite DJ. Officially. Reigning champion of Australia?s premier DJ poll ? the TechnicsInTheMix 50 ? for three years running, it?s obvious who?s leading the charge. This poll has only been running for three years, which means Kid Kenobi has so far been the only number one. Voted for by the general public, the results of this poll reflect the feelings of a nation.
with MC Shureshock - Australia
A professional MC since 1990, Shureshock aka Cameron James Brown has MCed to practically any genre of music you care to mention. He?s rocked hardcore scenes, drum n bass nights, hip hop jams, house parties, live bands and so much more. Having worked it as the front man for new wave Aussie collective Zephyr Timbre, Shureshock?s no stranger to working with a full band, either. Working the festival scene, Zephyr Timbre is probably most well-known for its support of Jamiroquai on his 2002 tour. Nowadays, however, it?s breakbeat that?s getting the Shureshock touch.
