Under the Influence with Lemn Sissay October 9, 2008

The Poetry Society's highly successful 'Under the Influence' series – where one poet looks at the influence another poet has had on their work – travels to Liverpool to support the European Capital of Culture. Lemn Sissay will talk about the influence of Liverpool poets Adrian Henri, Roger McGough and Brian Patten on his work. Sissay is one of the most dynamic poets working today. He is a regular on TV and radio and his extraordinary life story was made into a BBC documentary called Something Dark, which dealt with his search for his family.
