Uncorking Oregon is a comprehensive resource for both the wine professional and the discriminating wine consumer. Instructor and principal director Gretchen Wilcox brings over 20 years of wine education experience; including, but not limited to, Cooking School of Aspen (Colorado), Hungry Hollow Cooking School at R.H. Phillips Winery (California), and New Seasons Market (Oregon).
Class participants will revel in "uncorking" the very latest in Oregon wine news, wine tastes and wine knowledge.
As a certified Sommelier, Gretchen will pour and present a minimum of four different wineries, compare and contrast their philosophical and physiological differences, and facilitate group discussion on what defines Oregon wine.
By providing you with a thorough understanding of Oregon’s unique climate, topography and growing conditions, you will be perfectly poised to tour, toast and taste Oregon wines with confidence.
This class is designed for those new to the Oregon wine scene, and looking for an in-depth look, from the industry or “insider” perspective.
Seasonal snacks meant to complement wines will be served family style. 2 hour class. Includes tasting notes and special discounts on wine purchases.
