Uncle Moon presents a spirited and surprising combination of musical genres including folk, klezmer, Cajun, cabaret, and art-rock. Called "Kurt Weill at the Grand Ol Opry" and "the closest that performance art music has come to moonshine," Uncle Moon puts guitar, accordion, violin, saxophone and double bass to work in arrangements of music by artists such as The Velvet Underground, Django Rheinhardt, Thelonius Monk and Butthole Surfers.
