Uncle Kracker (born Matt Shafer) came to fame as Kid Rock's DJ, stepping out from behind the turntables to release his debut solo album, 'Double Wide,' which yielded the smash hit single 'Follow Me' in 2000. Yet another Detroit combination of funky post-grunge rock and hip-hop aesthetic, Uncle Kracker has dabbled in a few styles with his 2002 follow up, 'No Stranger to Shame,' eaning another chart hit with his cover of 'Drift Away' alongside the song's original singer, Dobie Gray. Uncle Kracker's latest is '72 and Sunny.'
