Join us for the first in the new six-month series “Unburied Treasures: Welcome to the Collection” to learn about a recently acquired artwork by American artist John Marin (1870-1953). Mississippi Museum of Art registrar Joanna Biglane speaks about the artist and his work. Candis Pizzetta, Ph.D., Jackson State University English professor, reads poetry by William Carlos Williams. The Mississippi Improvisation Alliance improvises music in response to the artwork. Sponsored by the Gallery Guild, Inc. and The Mississippi Humanities Council.
