Ultimedia Theremin: Eric and Mary Ross November 2, 2012

World-renowned as a theremin virtuoso and an innovative multi-instrumentalist, composer Eric Ross collaborates with video artist Mary Ross to present a fresh and engrossing concert experience of avant-garde sounds and sights— by turns hypnotic, lyrical, even fiery. In addition to his masterful caress of the theremin, Eric writes lively music that is unquestionably futuristic but also accessible, mixing elements of classical, serial, jazz, electronic and avant- garde. Mary’s video projections, meanwhile, are conceived, arranged, and edited to her counterpart’s music. The centerpiece of the Rosses’ hourlong program is their most recent opus, Boulevard d’Ronstructie (Op. 54).
