St. Michael Parish welcomes you to its parish family. We have been blessed by Our Lord to serve the spiritual needs of our members since 1963 at this location. Our beautiful church building bears a long and proud history that is a witness to the Orthodox faithful of our City.
The building originally was the home of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. It is known as the “Mother Church” of all parishes in the West. For many years the church and its priests served the faithful in the far reaches of the West and it was the lone beacon of Orthodoxy on the shores of the Pacific for many years, to be followed by Los Angeles in 1908, Oakland in 1917 and Sacramento in 1920.
Our parish family is proud to continue living our Holy Orthodox faith in this historic and blessed place. Our services are in Ukrainian and English. Divine Liturgy is served on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. Confessions are heard between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We have an active church choir, parish social organizations and our Ukrainian hospitality to offer you as a visitor. “Pryvit!” (“Welcome!”)
By the grace of Our Lord, with prayer, fasting, hard work and perseverance we will continue to serve in God’s vineyard.
Please check the website calendar weekly for special events and occasional changes to the normal schedule. Everyone is welcome.
