UK-Based Pair Dance Presents US Premiere of RUSH May 19, 2011

PAIR Dance, the award-winning contemporary dance company based in the UK, presents the US premiere of its evening-length production RUSH. Choreographed by the company’s Artistic Director Harriet Macauley, RUSH is an abstract representation of the frenetic yet monotonous rush hour commute, an event to which many New York audiences can relate. Described as “fabulously executed… enthralling the audience from the start” (London Dance), RUSH premiered to much fanfare at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2010. RUSH lives up to its name in that the trio of dancers perform chaotic, agitated movements to the pulsing, industrial, ambient sounds of the underground interwoven in the original music set by Richard Leonard. www.pairdance.org
