The New Mexico State University UAS Technical Analysis and Applications Center (TAAC) invites you to join our annual UAS conference to be held December 8 - 10, 2009 at the Tamaya Hyatt Regency, located on the Santa Ana Pueblo, north of Albuquerque, NM. The three-day UAS TAAC conference will begin with a buffet reception on the evening of December 7, followed by two days (December 8-9) of open-forum presentations and discussions, culminating in a day of classified briefings (December 10).
The opening day of sessions will include a keynote address by the Conference Chair, Dyke Weatherington, Deputy Director, Unmanned Warfare, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD) AT&L; sessions on airspace access and integration; UAS demonstrations; UAS testing ranges; status of detect, sense, and avoid systems; and an update on the FAA Unmanned Aircraft Office. The next day of open sessions and presentations will address critical DoD UAS program requirements, the future challenges of ISR, homeland security applications, research and policy basis of operator training, and Congressional perspectives on the future of UAS. The last day of the conference will include classified presentations on factors affecting UAS in an operational environment. Speakers will come from the DoD, the FAA, academia, industry, the DHS, NASA, and other federal agencies.
