The Engine of Happiness: Two Evening Talks by Lindsay Crouse
So much of what happens to us seems random. It is probably our great fear.
In the news every day we see war and violence, abuse, neglect, and financial failure. At home, we have our own battleground -- the pain we experience in partnership and in our own families.
We are overwhelmed, and easily lose our way.
In the midst of this, how do we make our lives work out? What choices should we make? What are we meant to do?
These talks are about how to do a right action: how to do actions that will be the cause of happiness for yourself and those around you.
This is the time of your life, and it should not be wasted. Happiness is not random: it is caused. You can become the master of your own happy life. Everyone is welcome.
Evening 1
Using principles laid out by the beautiful, ancient Indian text The Bhagavad Gita, Lindsay will talk about the difference between actions taken with and without wisdom and compassion.
She will show you what it is to undertake a karmic path of action, the way to take command over your life.
Evening 2
This entire evening will focus on partnership and relationships in the family and the workplace. How do you create a beautiful partnership? How do you maintain the sweetness and harmony that was there in the beginning?
How do you deal with difficult people in the workplace? How do you make peace with your family? Finally, how do you take love to the highest level?
