TWITTER FOR BUSINESS
The microblogging tool Twitter, which allows 140 character messages to be exchanged between writers and followers, has taken the world by storm this year. Everyone from Stephen Fry to demonstrators on the frontline in Iran have found a use for it.
But does it have a place in business? Some, including its creators, think it does. This talk will explore this topic: What is Twitter? Why should it matter to you as a business owner/customer? What part does it play in reputation management? How can, should and is it being used by businesses such as Carphone Warehouse?
The audience will be invited to share, discuss and of course tweet their own experiences during and after (online) the talk.
Our expert presenters are:
• MARIO MENTI, Founder, Twitterfeed.com, @mario
• JUDITH LEWIS, Director, Seshet Consulting, @seshet, @judithlewis
• GUY STEPHENS, Customer Knowledge Manager, Carphone Warehouse; @guyatcarphone
The event will be chaired by Dr. ELAYNE COAKES, Chair of the BCS Sociotechnical Specialist Group, who will provide a Social Technical perspective on the rise of Twitter.
The event is FREE to attend, BUT REGISTRATION IN ADVANCE IS REQUIRED. To ensure a place, register as soon as possible - instructions are on our website below:
