Twestival Seattle is a grassroots, social media based effort to raise awareness and money to support groups that are trying to make a difference across the globe. This premiere event in Seattle will be to support charity:water. Water is the most fundamental substance required to sustain life, but one person in six, over 1.1 billion people have no access to clean water. Over 4,500 children die each day due to dehydration and water-borne diseases. This has to change, and we can do it, one well at a time.
Plan on joining us from 5:30PM to 9PM on February 12th at Spitfire in Seattle to show how Twitter and social media can change the world. Online registration is now live. Please share this info with as many of your Puget Sound digital “friends” as possible.
We want to raise a lot of money, but we think that this should be a low cost event to attend. So if you know of a company or product group that can contribute or sponsor some aspect of the event please have them email twestivalSEA@gmail.com.
Twestival is a volunteer effort and we can use all the help we can get. We’ll need folks to facilitate at the event, promote it to the media, think of possible entertainment options and make connections with sponsors. Email or Tweet if you would like to be involved.
You must be 21 years or older with proof of identification to attend
