Fifty objects on display include Tutankhamun's royal diadem as well as other beautiful and culturally significant artifacts from other rulers' reigns. The last time artifacts from Tutankhamun's tomb visited the U.S. was from 1976 to 1979. The exhibition's U.S. appearances are made possible through an agreement between The National Geographic Society, Arts and Exhibitions International, AEG LIVE, and the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities.

Tutankhamun, King Tut Exhibit. Seriously disappointed when the websites said that King Tut would be in the artifacts included. This was not true at all. His body did not leave Egypt. The museum in FLL was drasticly changed for the exhibit. Funds made for showing him were given to the Egyptian Museum. His sarcophagus is in a private collection, not being shared. What was shown was a block with 4 photos being projected on it. Most of what was included could be found online and mostly not his dynasty. Truely very sad. As I DID see King Tut in '96 NYC. They changed the museum site to read that of course he was not going to be shown, as the Pope would not be if he was displayed. This was extreemly misleading what was said after protests were voiced. Paying $45 to enter is a lot for what was brought to FLL. Know before you go! As I told many people who went as a group. You might be better buying things online through the museum or other sources, including National Geographic. And I have been a fan of Ancient Egypt for my whole life. This might not be what you expect if you are also.
