Turns of the Centuries: Piano Panoply March 28, 2010

Turns of the Centuries presents a vast array of works for solo piano that represent dramatic and influential shifts from Classicism to Romanticism and from the last days of tonality to the new musical languages of the first decade of the 20th century, as well as works written in the last ten years that suggest the creative impulses and possibilities of contemporary composition. Pianists Sarah Cahill, Benjamin Hochman, Ieva Jokubaviciute, Andrius Zlabys, and Joel Fan. Solo piano works by: Haydn, Beethoven, Schoenberg, Berg, Debussy, Janacek, Scriabin, Gabriela Lena Frank, Annie Gosfield and more.
