Rochester Meets Istanbul (only city in the world located on two continents,
Europe & Asia).

When most Americans nowadays seem to lose hope that Democracy in Middle East
will never work and that America is fighting a losing battle, all they have
to do is look over to the Turkish border, a prominently Muslim country, to
see Democracy in motion that has worked since 1923, a modern state with its
modern people with many ethnic backgrounds that have common goals and
interests. Come and experience Turkish Hospitality and Turkish Culture.

The Festival will be open to general public free of charge from noon to 9:00
pm. Free live performances will take place during the day. This year's
Festival will once again feature demonstrations of art, dance, music and
gourmet food, where Rochesterians will get the opportunity to celebrate,
learn, and savor Turkish hospitality, culture, heritage and cuisine.

Without leaving the town of Chili, visitors will vividly experience Istanbul and
various regions of Turkey together with the participants from
Turkish-Americans living in the culturally diverse community of Rochester.
Visitors will be able to browse and buy Turkish products, souvenirs and
handcrafts, find travel information, participate in activities for
children, view many authentic demonstrations and performances, sample
Turkish cuisine, and do much more at the Festival.

Enjoy the aromas and tastes of rich Ottoman Turkish cuisine, sample gourmet
food from restaurant and grocery stands, including kabobs, gyro sandwiches,
vegetable and meat dishes, desserts, baklava, Turkish Coffee, Fortune Telling Turkish delight, and other delicious treats.

Activities for all ages from exciting and innovative games such as bouncers, slides, and much more.

Come and visit us June 13, 14 and 15 and experience Turkey, a land rich in
remarkable treasures which is known as the gateway to the world connecting
Europe, Asia and Middle East.
