Tuning the Air is a wholly unique approach to musical performance. The 9-member acoustic guitar ensemble performs an inspired repertoire in a 360-degree configuration – the players surround the audience. Delicate improvisations circulate and powerful rhythmic-melodic patterns cross and weave. From ambient to rock to classical to minimalist, the music is selected and arranged to take maximum advantage of the possibilities presented by a multi-player ensemble and the physical relationship of performers and audience.
