Tune (Out)))side:
This outdoors variation of free103point9's Tune(In))) event featured artists playing directly into five FM transmitters at free103point9's Wave Farm. No sound was amplified. Attendees tuned in with radio headphones as they explored 30 acres of meadows, forests, and ponds. Tune(In)))s are sound events designed for a virtually silent environment in which listeners experience multiple live performances in individual radio headsets as opposed to amplified within a performance space. Audience members encounter other signals on the FM dial as they navigate among the Tune(In))) frequencies thus considering the spectrum as a potential venue in and of itself. Past Tune(In)))s have been presented at the NY Center for Media Arts, Long Island City (2003); The Kitchen, New York (2004); The Santa Fe Art Institute, New Mexico (2004); and the free103point9 Gallery, Brooklyn (2005).

Richard Garet
Richard Garet is a sound artist, a video artist, and a painter. He’s interested in nature’s processes, the observation of the relationships between nature and human beings, and the phenomena found and produced in aural and visual time-based media. Garet explores the communicational, the affective, the sensory, and the perceptive characteristics of the various sources he utilizes. Additionally, he focuses on the investigation of relational structures, process, form, abstraction, and subjectivity. Even though Garet’s work suits the standard gallery environment, many of his other activities as an artist explore the various practices of experimental sound and video performance. All of these modes are additional examinations of the ways in which Garet’s work exposes the visitors to visual and physical acoustic sensory perception.
Scott Allison
SC:ALL is Scott Allison from Washington, D.C., and his music focuses on the processing and arrangements of recorded events (field recordings or what many people simply refer to as noise). Processing those sounds and re-presenting them using software specifically developed for real time interaction and composition. SC:ALL also works with sound sources external to the computer, finding ways in which to process those sounds and still find mutual correspondence between them and what happens with the computer. In the last few years he has been active in live performance venues on the east coast, and has also been involved with the process of organizing experimental listening events in the Washington DC area.
Andy Graydon
Andy Graydon (b. 1971, Maui, Hawaii) is an artist and filmmaker based in New York City. His work focuses on the interaction of sound, image, and environment. With his recent work Andy is interested in creating what he calls "science fiction ecologies" by engaging with the speculative and transformational qualities within an environment. Taking the form of videos, sound works, media objects and installations this work explores the boundary zones between performance and exhibition, liveness and mediation, presence and deferral.
