***This concert is rescheduled from February 1.***
For the first time, talented Tufts Music performance faculty will join select student musicians in a concert of wide-ranging repertoire for chamber ensembles and chamber orchestra. The program will include a composition by Tufts composer John McDonald, along with works by Felix Mendelssohn, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and others. The concert will also feature a fanfare for three trumpets; works for strings, soprano, tenor, and flutes; a jazz ensemble, a suite of Turkish, Armenian, and Egyptian pieces arranged by Tufts faculty member Kareem Roustom; and a performance of The Creation of the World by Darius Milhaud, performed by a chamber orchestra. It promises to be an exciting evening of music making featuring some of the Boston area's finest musicians.
