It's 1967 and the irascible 81-year-old Francis Biddle, who served as FDR's attorney general and Chief Judge of the Nuremberg trials, hires a plainspoken Canadian newlywed as his personal secretary. The play is inspired by the author's (Joanna McClelland Glass) own experience as Biddle's personal secretary from 1967 to 1968.
