The Gold Coast Aquarium Society (GACS) presents a Tropical Fish Show & Sale, including the dedication of the new Chiclid Pond, at Flamingo Gardens & Wildlife Sanctuary on April 5 & 6, 2008 from 9:30-4:30 on Saturday, and 9:30-3:30 on Sunday. Aficionados and the uninitiated alike will find a wealth of information at this premier show sponsored by the GCAS. Features include an all-aquarium fresh water species exhibit and an International Betta Congress Rules Show. Lectures and a question & answer table staffed by experts provide all the information anyone needs to start a new hobby or improve their prized collection. GCAS silent auctions will be held every hour, and a Championship Betta Auction at 2 pm on Sunday. Children will enjoy games with prizes. Shop for products for all budgets at the vendor tables with t-shirts, equipment, and fresh water fish for beginners and exotics for enthusiasts. Reduced admission for the day including the show, botanical gardens, native animal and bird exhibits, and historic 1930s Wray Home is $5 off regular admission of $17 for ages 12 and up, $3 off admission of $8.50 for children 4-11, children under 4 are free.
