Tropfest NY September 26, 2008

Thousands of film lovers and VIPs like Billy Crudup and Malcolm Gladwell will descend on Battery Park City on Friday night, September 26th, for Tropfest NY, the world’s largest short film festival.

Tropfest NY will unspool at World Financial Center Plaza, alongside the Hudson River, where the massive audience will view 16 original short films created by up-and-coming filmmakers. Unlike most film festivals, Tropfest NY boasts a rock concert-like atmosphere with audience members packing picnic meals and enjoying live DJs and musical acts prior to the marathon of short films. The opening act this year will be Tamarama Band, a popular Australian band.
