In April, the High Desert Gallery (Redmond Gallery) will be hosting Nationally known, award winning Oregon artist Trisha Hassler. As an artist, Trisha is unique in her use of reclaimed torch-cut steel and often hand-dyed, improvisational quilting. Her work has been featured in select group shows and museums throughout the world. But it isn't the uniqueness of her art form that captures and holds our attention as much as it is the subtle beauty and deeper meaning behind the work.
Trisha states, All the pieces in this continuing series speak quietly of the intricate center of our most private being surrounded by a strong protective armor..and the interplay of the two dissimilar elements is a reminder to embrace the ever shifting balance present in our lives.
