Triple AAA star a hit with the Cubs Team and the Meijer Team July 9, 2009

You may have seen Chicago Cubs pitcher Randy Wells in the news recently for his first major-league victory with the Cubs since they brought him up from the minor leagues earlier this year.

Now, you have the opportunity to meet Wells and judge his cooking talents!

On Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the Meijer St. Charles store, located at 855 S. Randall Rd. from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Wells will be alongside Meijer’s own healthy living consultant, Maribel Cabrales demonstrating one of his favorite recipes.

Wells is no stranger to working hard, in the kitchen and on the baseball diamond. He’s been toiling away at Triple AAA since 2002 and had the opportunity to play in the Major Leagues this year after Carolos Zambrano was put on the disabled list.

A well-liked guy with his fans, Meijer is thrilled that he is spending the day honing his cooking skills to his fans and the Meijer community.
