Trio Impossible – Music concert

Trio Impossible was founded in 1998 by three graduates of the Vienna Musikhochschule and includes a pianist, cellist and double-bass player. This instrumentation is quite unusual and little music has been written for such a trio, hence the name Trio Impossible. As a result, the group takes compositions written for one of the three instruments and then arranges them for the trio. Cellist Michael Holzmann is also a member of the Weiner Saloniker and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to Trio Impossible, Yugoslavian Ivan Kitanovic, the only non-Austrian in the trio, is the principal double-bass player for the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Michael Weingartmann is the permanent pianist of the Shubert Boys’ Choir in Vienna , as well as the pianist in Trio Impossible.
