Philipse Manor Hall invites you to “knock on the oldest door in town” this Halloween. This free event, aimed at all members of the local community, will be held October 31st, 2008 from 4 – 7 p.m. Trick-or-Treat at the Manor is both a chance to visit the Manor by twilight and to explore its interior in a unique way this Halloween.
For those that attend, the event promises the performance of haunting tales of New York State (offered both in Spanish and English, as appropriate), macabre music to unsettle the senses, a scary scavenger hunt that will lead you to the dark corners of the house, and a costume contest. The costume contest, held in the remarkable Gothic Chamber, will begin at 6 p.m. and is open to both adults and children.
