A major force in electronic music in the UK, designer/musician/DJ Trevor Jackson founded hiphop label Bite It Recordings and the ferociously creative, independent Output Recordings, introducing acts such as Four Tet, Black Strobe, Colder, The Rapture, LCD Soundsystem and his own Playgroup project. RGBPM is a live performance exploring melody and form, rhythm and colour, synchronicity and composition. Fred Deakin and Nick Franglen take time out from their Lemon Jelly day-jobs to explore relationships between abstract pattern animation and loop-based musical experiments, inspired visually by Op Art and musically by ambient soundscapes of the 60s and 70s. This hour-long debut performance, designed for the IMAX environment, will be improvised live by the duo on the night. Expect a 'full-on' experience.
