What are blogs?

What is RSS, Trackbacks, Podcasts?

Here is your opportunity to gain a basic introduction into the fundamentals of blogging. The session also includes a very brief overview about weblog technology, emerging publishing standards like RSS. Finally the Blogosphere and interactive models of blog communication will be showcased.

Please mark your calendar for the next GABA-CA event presented by GABA in cooperation with the French American Chamber of Commerce and British American Business Council.

Keynote speaker is Torsten Jacobi, German Co-founder of Creative Weblogging, who will give an introduction note on "Using blogs as an effective marketing instrument". He will cover which additional advantages a weblog brings to the marketing mix and also highlight how to build up a successful weblog advertising campaign.

Followed by Power Networking sessions where you will have the chance to give a short introduction to a group of professionals and announce a specific request (such as: "I'm looking for an immigration lawyer" or "Our company is seeking to get in touch with companies in IT security currently expanding into Europe"...). Groups will be mixed differently and you have the opportunity to get to know more people in the short time frame than ever.
