The Seaport will kick-off the 2010 holiday season with a holiday spectacular and New York City's first tree lighting of the year. Hosted by Jill Martin, the 27th Annual Seaport Tree Lighting will begin at 6:00pm on The Seaport's historic cobblestone streets. There, guests will enjoy a number of seasonal activities, which will begin with favorite holiday music performed by Darlene Love and The Big Apple Chorus. The Seaport will then welcome Santa Claus for his 22nd consecutive year, making him one of the city's longest-running Santas at any one location, as he parades down Front Street. He will be joined by Brooklyn's infamous Soul Tigers Marching Band, the Big Apple Circus and favorite costumed characters, including Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman and Santa's elves. At 6:30, Santa and his friends will countdown to the lighting of a 55ft. Norway Spruce, the first public tree to be lit this season.
