Tree care and landscape design information pertinent to trees. The tree care portion will cover selection, planting, transplanting, protection, pruning, fertilizing, root feeding, mycorrhizae, sunburn, basic ID and much more. Design aspects (about 5 percent) will cover positioning trees for proper placement, aesthetics, energy conservation, fire safety, etc. How to effectively locate tree information on the internet will be included. Course is designed to satisfy the needs of tree workers, property owners, landscapers, landscape designers and parks employees. Many aspects of soils and soil care will be included (making the course applicable to shrub care and most phases of landscape care). This course is a useful tool for members of tree boards and commissions, or parks management staff. All topics will be professional arboriculture and landscape technology.
