On September 21st, TRC (The Referral Center) will be hosting the Ray Wolf Memorial Golf Tournament to be held at the championship, Rose Creek Golf Course in Edmond. The 18-hole course was designed by renowned golf architect Arthur Hills. All proceeds from the event will go to The Referral Center
Ray Wolf, aka Ray the Painter, was a dedicated TRC board member who died last July from cancer. Wolf, a consummate outdoorsman, contributed significantly in the area of drug and alcohol recovery and was sober for seventeen years at the time of his death. Wolf was a cofounder and partner in Sober Grounds, now called Club Soda, a coffee house on May Avenue, which serves as a gathering spot for recovering individuals. He also owned and helped operate Unity House, a transitional residential facility in Oklahoma City for recovering women among many other philanthropic efforts.
The tournament will open at 10:00 am with a bagged lunch and registration. The four-player scramble will begin at 11:00 am with a shotgun start. The entry fee is $150 for one person or $500 for a foursome. The fee includes soft drinks, a bagged lunch, BBQ dinner and practice facilities. Sponsorships are also available for $150.
The Referral Center for Alcohol and Drug Servicesof Central Oklahoma, Inc. (The Referral Center, or TRC) is the only private, not-for-profit program in central Oklahoma available 24-hours a day, seven days a week serving chemically and alcohol dependent persons. The center offers medically supervised detoxification and case management without regard of financial ability.
“Our continuing mission is to provide exceptional patient-centered chemical dependency services to persons seeking drug-free lives in the state of Oklahoma.” said Don Burk, Chief Executive Officer at The Referral Center.

Our team of experienced doctors, nurses and case managers helps individuals begin their recovery in a loving, caring atmosphere and our treatment program is based on the twelve steps.” stated Burk.
The Referral Center, certified and funded by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, adjusts it’s fees based on each client’s ability to pay and many health insurance policies cover the care provided at the Center.
