Trapt was formed around 1997, as schoolhood chums Chris Brown and Peter Charell absorbed the heavy rock sounds of Korn, Soundgarden and Metallica during the mid-'90s. The band stopped and restarted over time, but was rewarded with their eponymous debut in 2002. Fuel's edgy sound found its way into the homes of many unsuspecting adolescents across the nation starting in 1998. Comprised of Brett Scallions, Carl Bell, Jeff Abercrombie and Kevin Miller, Fuel hammers out today's version of rock 'n' roll, borrowing a bit from Eddie Vedder and Scott Weiland's vocal styles. Though not the most original combo to hit the stage, their polished sound is a good exmaple of today's commercial rock prescription.
