Transportation Alternatives Queens Vol. Committee Fall Party September 20, 2012

Join Transportation Alternative’s Queens Volunteer Committee for a fall celebration. T.A. is working in neighborhoods across the borough on many exciting initiatives—come on Thursday, September 20th to learn about how you can get involved! We’ll be honoring Queens’ first Bike Friendly Business, The Queens Kickshaw. Enjoy Brooklyn Brewery beer, snacks and become a part of the movement to revitalize New York City.

Transportation Alternatives' mission is to reclaim New York City's streets from the automobile, and to advocate for bicycling, walking and public transit as the best transportation alternatives.

The Transportation Alternatives Queens Volunteer Committee was founded in 2007. The goal of this volunteer effort is to seize on the recent surge in bicycling, street redesign and new park space to improve bicycling, walking and public transit conditions in Queens. The Committee hosts numerous rides and walks, and is a presence at tabling, bike valet and other outreach opportunities around the borough.
